The journey, ports of call
Sydney
The departure from Sydney, at night, is magical.
Bay of Islands
A little corner of paradise, with a magnificent walk in the forest. And oysters!
Auckland
A beautiful walk in a green city.
Papeete
A city with two faces, which can be pleasant or distressing, bordering on a shanty town.
Moorea
Island in its raw, lush, green and flowery state.
Raiatea
The opportunity for a catamaran ride and an exploration of a lagoon, fins and snorkel.
Lahaina
Magnificent island, which would be destroyed a few weeks later by huge fires. A beautiful ride on an electric bike rented for the day.
Honolulu
Bike ride on the heights, with incredible views of the city. Catamaran. And stroll through the center.
Kailua Kona
Exploring a distant bay.
Hilo
Cascades and Rain Forest (which lives up to its name with the sauce we had! It wasn’t very long but intense!).
Victoria
An almost obligatory passage during cruises to Alaska, I had always experienced rain during my previous visits. The spell is averted! Magnificent spring day under a radiant sun which put this adorable port to its advantage.
Vancouver
With a plane that same evening, no time to visit. But I had already been there and it’s a city where we would want to live!
