Spa
Access to the spa requires a fee, unless you have booked an Aqua Class cabin, which includes it in the price. The place is relatively small, and quickly saturated at certain times of the day, and in particular days at sea. The equipment is classic, with heating stones, showers with variable temperature changing color, a hammam, a dry sauna .
You quickly feel the combined effect of a fairly small spa and an overloaded ship. Not very pleasant or relaxing.
Treatment rooms are there for all the treatments sold (relatively expensive), the list is substantial, and so are the prices!
Right next to the spa is a free-access and well-equipped gym.
Pools
There are 2 swimming pools onboard. The largest, outside, is divided into 2 parts by a sort of bridge, and most of the time, very busy if the weather permits. The other is an indoor swimming pool, especially popular when the weather is not good enough. But it is deserted when dinner time approaches, which means from 6 p.m. on a ship mainly filled with Americans, as well as a good proportion of Australians.
Ideal for leisurely swimming and doing laps, most of the time, alone!
As is often the case during long trips, and in addition, like this, repositioning, the company takes the opportunity to overhaul certain equipment. The indoor swimming pool was closed for 2 days for maintenance.
