Another new place, the restaurant “Le Voyage”, proposed by Chef Daniel Boulud. Located in the extension of the Grand Plazza, just under the World Class bar, this specialty restaurant (fees applies) offers a list of dishes inspired by the travels of the starred Chef. 3 formulas: an à la carte menu, starter-main course-dessert ($75), a 5-course tasting menu ($125) or a “Chef’s Table” meal to be reserved specifically ($139).
I wrote a specific post about this restaurant, because although it is not cheap, what you can eat there is really very very good: Le Voyage by Chef Daniel Boulud.
I have said many times how good I feel about the food quality on board Celebrity ships, and the Beyond has in no way changed my opinion. Everything is always very good. We find the classics: the Rooftop Garden Grill, the Fine Cut, the Eden Restaurant (which offers an à la carte menu comparable to that of the Apex, and not 5 courses like that of the Edge), the Petit Chef, the Grand Bistro, and the Raw on 5, always my favourite, with its seafood dishes (among others)…
Note that for speciality restaurants, a tax of 10% as well as service charges (“gratuities”) of 18% were added, i.e. 28% more on the bill!
The Oceanview Café (the buffet), included in the price of the cruise, is always well stocked, although not all the counters were open, to adapt to the number of reduced passengers on board, during the Covid period.
And at any time, a detour to the El Bacio café, deck 4, remains a must for an espresso accompanied by a sweet treat! Note the cakes in the colors of England during the Queen’s Jubilee.
Great review of the Apex Jean-Phillipe! Kim and I will be on there with my parents who you met a couple years ago. We will be doing the Rome to Fort Lauderdale TA and this is great help in seeing this new ship for us!
Thanks, Ted
